Drum Sergeant Scott Armit
Scott Armit began drumming at a very early age under the tutelage of his World Champion father, David Armit. Scott took over the drum sergeant duties
for his father as a member of the Worcester Kiltie Pipe Band at the age of
15. This same year he entered the professional (&lquo;open&rquo;) solo drumming
ranks. He went on to win the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association's
Championship for the open grade for 10 straight years. In 1995 he led the
Manchester Pipe Band drum corps to the Grade II World Pipe Band Championships
Drum Corps prize.
Scott is currently the Drum Sergeant of the Stuart Highland Pipe Band in Wilminton, Massachusetts, and has been a member of the EUSPBA's judging panel for the past 15 years.
